As far as I can tell, only a few teams have active formal captains. The Bucks have had Giannis as captain for seven years. Trae Young and Bam Adebayo are captains of their respective teams. There is very little on captains of everyone else. The Celtics have a documented captain history, with Rajon Rondo being their last one in 2014. There are informal captains, like Stephen Curry with the Warriors and Luka Doncic in Dallas, but formal captaincy is a lost art in the NBA.
