NBA playoffs 2023: The stars, stats and storylines that matter most this postseason
ESPN
New York is last in the NBA in assist percentage, and by a significant margin. That reliance on individual shot-making certainly hasn't been a bad thing, as the Knicks finished the season fifth in offensive rating. That marks the first time the Knicks have been in the top 10 in offensive rating since they finished third overall in the 2012-13 season.

Dallas’ loss assured it of finishing with the NBA’s 10th-worst record (38-44), which means the Mavericks will have the 10th-best odds in the May 16 Draft Lottery and a 79.8% chance of keeping their top-ten protected first-round pick instead of conveying it to New York.

Anthony Chiang, Miami Herald
With the Heat already locked into seventh place in the Eastern Conference, Haslem made the most of a rare opportunity to play extended minutes. He closed with a team-high 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the field, 3-of-7 shooting from three-point range and 3-of-3 shooting from the foul line and three rebounds in 25 minutes. It’s tied for the second-most points Haslem has scored in a game during his NBA career and the most he has scored in a game since 2009. It’s also the first time Haslem has finished a game as the Heat’s outright leading scorer since 2009.

The ultimate goal for this season is to win the franchise’s first NBA title since 1983. But in order to accomplish that, they must first advance beyond the second round for the first time since 2001. They’re 1-12 in second-round series dating to 1986.
