More impressive to me than the numbers or the timing, though, is the way that Tatum can show defenders the exact same move, mirrored, at different times in the game. A lot of players, for example, have the over-the-shoulder fadeaway from the post in their bag. Not as many can do it over both shoulders and have the entire move look exactly the same. It’s the same footwork, the same footwork, the same body-squaring motion in the air, even the same leg kick to stabilize his balance.
